'Ticking' noise from engine bay - Help! :(

I showed this to David yesterday and he thought it may be the exhaust but when up on the ramps today exhaust looked fine.

Anything over 1/3rd throttle and under 3k RPM there is a very distinct and worrying ticking/rattle

Please tell me this isn't anything expensive?

I know it's due an oil change (full, but pretty dark..) but other than that... ?

Mine was ticking so had the valve clearances done and it reduced a little.

However I think a lot of the ticking is the injector solenoids. (Correct me if I'm wrong guys)

I would say get the valve clearances done. If not, oil change and a good service might help. You can get your injectors cleaned. That's what you might be hearing. They are very loud!

Mine ticks very loudly at times.

It sounds sometimes as though it comes from the manifold/exhaust, other times I believe it's the injectors but I've never known for sure...
