Ok, following on from a previous discussion, list your Trackday insurance quotes:

Company
Quote
Excess
Amount Insured

Perhaps one of the mods can pin this.

I'll start with:

Moris Insurance http://www.moris.co.uk/
Quote: £135
Excess: £1300
Amount: £16000

No whoring thanks!

There does not appear to be much else out there

I've got an email into Heritage Insurance who's performance car insurance seems to have some trackday cover and a email into competition-car-insurance.

I'll post the results as soon as i get replies.

found this while searching:

I've used Competition Car Insurance several times.

Excess is usually £1000, the minimum cover they will give is half the value of the car

Last time cost me £80 for £7500 cover

so these quotes arent an anuual amount, they are per trackday!?!
Yep - per event. I'm still waiting for Heritage to come back as thier annual insurance had trackday cover. Might be worth fe few extra quid if you do a lot of tracksdays.

Quote: £102

Not on a DC5, but very good company none the less. I know people getting Mitsubishi Cyborgs insured for £60 with them.

Might be doing a few trackdays next year now I've got a taster for it.

Can anyone recommend an insurance company that does free track cover or provide extra cover for a small fee?

I've tried HIC but apparently I'm too immature

I used to be with greenlight with my EP3 and they were very good, but I was told they stopped insuring imports. :(

Just got a quote from Richard Eggar Insurance http://www.richardeggerinsurance.co.uk/ for 4 days at the Nurburgring.

£292.16p excess £1250 £12,500 value, DC5 2001

Mate's 53 sti scooby was £372.71p excess £1350

If you have done trackdays before they can offer discount, seems quite a good price for piece of mind.
