Tyre width

Would a 235 tyre fit a 17" rim, and are there any benefits to running this wide a tyre?

Not sure tbh bud, they're aftermarket Rota wheels. Rota Fighters I think.

As above you could have a 17 inch diametre wheel that 6 inch wide so a 235 would be too wide.. or you could have a 17 thats 10 inch wide in which case a 235 would be stttretched!

Ideally need to know the full wheel spec.

A 235 on a suitable rim will add more contact patch over the 225. Could cause adverse effect on handling possibly but probly not noticable.on a daily basis

As above, all depends on the spec of the wheels but I would try stick to 225/45 unless they're really wide
