Hi,

So I had my teg imported and it came with 215/45/17 Yokohama AD07 Advan Neova tyres.
I once heard that tyres in Japan are often a harder compound, and don't cope as well in the wet here.

Is that right? I have to say, these tyres do not seem great in the wet.. Looking at what people on here use, the AD08R tyres seem popular, are they going to be much better that the AD07s?!

There is quite a bit of tread depth left on these tyres, maybe it is worth hanging onto them and using the remainder of them up on a track day in summer where they might perform a bit better..

I'm unsure about compounds, but AD08 are better than AD07 and the AD08R are better than AD08... See below,

AD07 - 1:00:219
AD08 - 0:59:495

AD08R - 0:59:800

Personally I'd leave them as is until they are low, unless they are feeing dangerous in which case just change them out - I've heard AD08/R aren't great in the wet either, so maybe you're going to fast :xhaha:
