Valve clearance question

I understand mate, seems quite easy, i will give this a shot soon myself.

One question though, when the car is in 2nd gear and you are moving it to get the cam into the correct position, is it very easy to see when they are in the right postion?

Yes mate. The cam lobe is egg shaped. So when the pointed end is down is pushing the valve down. When its up you cam clearly see. So you want it pointing straight up at the furthest point from the valve. You can see them all move slowly as you nudge the car.

I´ll have help of a friend of mine who is a good Lancer Evo mechanic
I just use his expertise as a mechanic and this forum and service manual
Knowledge for precise specs of the DC5...

Not me I let TGM do it. 8)

I stay the hell away from anything more complicated than checking the oil level.
