VTC and VSS

Any experts here know something about the VTC? seems in kpro my cams are a little bit off to what the command cam wants, heard something about a dirty VTC?

Also in kpro my VSS is off a lot, my speedo is correct, is this cause of the gearbox sensor which is installed to convert to miles?

It can be a number of things some times related to a wiring issue, cam sensor, VTC oil control solenoid and even in some cases it has been reported a fault within ecu.

The VSS been off is due to the mph converter.

Will check on it, first thing i do clean the vtc screen.

Found out by the converter yeah, in kpro im in 4th gear but actually in 6th hahaha

Remove the vtc solenoid and clean the filter screens.

Myself and another owner also get it showing 4th gear when in 6th so that's probably nothing to worry about.

hi luke, i know it's just the sensor so it's ok.
Will check into VTC screen first and let you guys know.

It's nothing to do with the sensor, it's to do with the gear ratio table being incorrect in kpro

Could be yeah, i thought that the mph converter caused this.

If the converter is in the right place it doesn't affect.

The gearing is wrong in kpro.
