Weight of 18" Alloy: Is this heavy?

I was wondering what you guys think of the weight. The size is 18" weighing at 7.83 kg (17.22lbs) without the tyre. Is this consider light or can I find lighter ones. The wheels that I am considering is made by SSR.

not really, i have 18" rota P1's and they are 6.9kg which i think is very very light for 18's.

I would consider that pretty lightweight. Sure you can do better, but a 2kg saving at each corner over an average alloy is pretty good I reckon.

You can go for Rays wheels Aluminum which would cost you a arm and two legs :lol: go for what you like if you are not tracking your car, if weight concerns you then get 15inch rims at just over 3.5kg

not too bad that, the oem 16" wheels on my old clio 182 were supossed to be over 8 kg each! I never weighed them myself but they felt seriously heavy for 16's!

That's for the input guys. In that case, I am content with the SSRs one because I like the design and I don't need to shed more weight per corner any further.
