what insurance group is the DC5 ?

only grey imports are classed as a group 20 ( i.e. a vehicle where there is no similar uk model)

for example uk dc2 grp 18( could be wrong) so jap import dc2 also group 18 as almosy identical to uk model.

dc5 group 20 as no similar uk counterpart.

You have to be over 25 to insure a jap import with regular insurance companies, but some specialised companies can be more forgiving. Your better off driving a regular car and get a few years NCB then get a jap import so you'll save money on insurance.

You would think so but sadly not, JDM Dc2 is still classed by the majority of insurers as gp20, my Dc5 is virtually the same to insure as my Dc2 was

.. some guy got an insurance quota for 21 with 3NCB.. for £1400ish which is quick good i think

im stuck on wot car to get!! i've been able to get quota on the following cars
(me being 21 with 1NCB)
bmw330ci = £1400ish
mazda RX8 231 = £1300ish
nissan 350z = £1800ish

i what to go to a place to test drive the BMW 330 and mazda but cant seem to find a place. I dnt need to test drive the teg as my cousin has one.

i like the teg cos its got the speed and looks.. plus main think is its not commom at all.... i never see them on the roads apart from my cousin one which is great.

bmw330ci is a great car.. but different class to the teg.. just want to knw how it compares to the teg.
