What is this part?

Any know what this part is called? or the part number for it? Its at the front of the engine, attached to a radiator pipe i think. Thanks!

That is your intake air bypass control thermal valve.

EDIT: It pulls in unmetered air when the engine is cold and closes off when warm. At least that's what it'll do when it is functioning properly.

Its not really needed. Only helps with cold starts.
