What reg did facelifts start?

I'm looking to purchase a 2004/04 facelift model but I'm unsure if it is a genuine facelift from the factory as I thought they started on a 2004/54 reg?? It has the new lights and bumpers so I'm unsure... any help would be appreciated

I'm sure the facelift started in sept 2004 so this could be of the 1st ones made and registered in late august ready for the 1st September release date over In japan, what date is on the v5??

Also check for white dials as the pre-facelift has silver, and the top brace under the bonnet has 3 bolts connecting it to the top mount as opposed to the 2 on pre-facelift

I have a pre-facelift shown as manufactured and registered overseas on the 1st of August 2004.

Check the chassis number. if it starts with DC5 101**** it's a pre facelift converted. if it starts with DC5 230**** its a facelift.

Not that black 04 plate on piston heads?I had a look at that and its genuine facelift.

Vin starts DC5-230 so it's a genuine facelift, thats great thanks for advice

Hi,
My understanding is that the Facelift version started end of 2004 until early 2006
My DC5 Facelift is Registered Feb 2005. Not a definitive answer, but hope this helps.

Mine is april 2004. The facelift dc5 was made in 2002 but wasen't launched until 2004 and ended in 06
