My teg failed the NCT because the boots on the balljoints are busted so i'm after something new. Car is lowered on Spoon progressive springs so i think Roll Center Adjusters should be fine.

Looking on Tegiwa and there seems to be a few options so looking for opinions.

Tegiwa £104.50

Buddy club or Honda Prelude BB6 replacement ball joints which are a standard match for the DC5. I've had BC roll adjusters on a previous DC5 and they offer nothing in terms of handling improvements. Just my 2p worth.

As Marc said above or if there is no play in the ballpoint and it‘s only the boot you can buy that and the required circlip and just fit it mate

Boot part number - 51225-SL5-003
Clip part number - 52226-SL0-003

Total cost about £36 here https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F183240727606

Or slightly more from Honda

But only do this is it‘s just split or starting too and here is no play in the balljoint at all (mot guy can tell you if the balljoints ok if you don‘t know)

i had thought about just doing the boots but there has been a small knock coming from the front end for a while and ball joints is kinda the last thing to tick of that list. I just always put it on the long figure because of the confusion and cost. but now it needs to be done for the test so i may do it right.

a local garage that specialises in Hondas quoted me €59 (each!!!) for a "good quality but not OEM" balljoints, so probly Prelude ones. Apparently they sell a lot of them but sure at that rate i may just go with the roll center adjusters!!! they also don't keep hub nuts in stock and given the amount of work they do on Hondas, i wonder how do they replace those "not to be reused" nuts?!?

Oh ok then if it‘s not done and a knock exists it‘s poss hem so change is well worth it mate

I‘d go Honda oem from a dc5 or prelude unless it‘s used on track a lot tbh

problem with goin OEM is the cost, i dont need a whole knuckle!!! haha
and the prelude thing feels sketchy to me, only a small handful of people have reported that it works. i feel a bit uneasy about getting that far into a job and finding out the part doesnt fit

I‘m certain Marc‘s just had them done on his only a few months ago, see if you can get the park numbers off of his invoice mate (or spend the extra on buddyclub) but for the price I‘m not sure how much you‘d gain from the extra monies spent

Sounds like you've made your mind up already. The buddy club are substantially more expensive. I'd just rather have OEM personally but each to their own. As Carl has said, I've not had mine on long so can't comment on the longevity of them but they're genuine Honda and a straight fit. I just don't think the chassis components for the DC5 are strong parts to be truthful, especially the likes of CV joints etc as they just seem to go so easily.
