What should I do with my dc5 next?

Hi all,

I'm seeking a little bit of advice or looking for some inspiration on what to do with my dc5 next. I've owned it for a month or so now and have some money to chuck at it. The current spec is.
Tegiwa air box
Tegiwa manifold
Skunk2 mega power r cat back
K100 mapped at tdi north to 244.8 bhp
Recaro spg seats
Buddyclub drivers side rail
M2 passenger rail
Spoon springs
Eibach front camber bolts
M2 rear camber arms
Sony double din head unit
Bridgestone potenza re070 tyres on oem wheels

I'm not sure whether to do a few more suspension changes, but I use it daily and don't fancy making it too stiff for the road.

Anyone have any suggestions on where to take it next or any idea's?

Thanks.

Take it on a track day. See what you think it lacks after that.

It'll test everything and you'll get better ideas on what you want :)

I know the exhaust wouldn't stand a chance at passing the db test.

I would look at gear shift options
I've only got m&m shifter bushes upgrade, tegiwa short shifter and k tuned ball pivot and spring upgrade; but I've heard some whole unit shifters are good.

I was thinking of something like this but can't imagine it being cheap. What do you find the 5.3 like on a daily drive?

Yeah everyone I've spoken to seems to rate the k tuned shifters highly. I had the m&m shifter bushes on my last dc5 and quite liked them. Definitely something to consider.

No it wasnt cheap for me anyway by the time i had it all done and bought.
But it has the box feeling fresh and very lively revs.

i dont daily mine but use it a bit, i didnt think any of the higher revving bothered me.
Very little difference for the spins i use it for, Having a quiet exhuast in the RM01A deffo helps.
But the extra revs wouldnt be an issue IMO with a non droney exhuast.
think im around 3600 at 60mph
longer 6th is an option but i didnt bother

- Progress rear anti roll bar
- Braces
- Big brake kit
list is endless but most of all take it on Track and enjoy it

Thanks for the suggestions. I have picked up a set of braided lines and do plan on doing a small brake upgrade soon. Pbs pads but I'm undecided on what discs to go for at the minute.

Braces are something I may look in to. I don't think there's any bbk's that will fit over standard wheels☹️.

On ARB's do aftermarket EP3 ones fit? Will open up a world of cheaper possibilities!

Have you not taken it on track before? If you are gonna tune it....you should go on track to get the best potential out of it. I'm pushing similar power to you I just upgraded my brakes.

IIRC the JDM EP3 and the DC5 share the same ARB, and Tegiwa list the Progress ARB as being for the EP3 and DC5 so I feel like they should?
