What about for uprated brakes then Ollie? I'm with Elephant, they only replace parts with standard parts, yet it still costs more to insure it with presumably safer brake system. Any ideas why?

I'm afraid I cannot answer on behalf of another insurer but my company would

1) not charge for a brake upgrade
2) cover the brake upgrade on a like for like basis

This is the difference between an insurance specialist and an average insurer 8)
