Which of your previous cars would you own again?

One caveat; it can't be the actual one you previously owned, so unknown history and won't have the same mods you had.

I think the dc5 tops them all to be honest.. I've had EK4's... R32s etc

Loads of other factors such as running cost and tax is quite cheap for the dc5 compared to the mk5 r32 which is £40pm road tax and only gets 25mpg :xhaha2:

2001 Accord type R, great drivers car, plenty torque, would accelerate in near any gear, suited me as I drive like an old man anyway 😂. Comfy Recaros and all over rareness.

Things o didn't like were the clutch bearing noise occasionally when taking off in first and also the multitude of red shades under yellow street lights 😡, that really wasn't the cars fault though😆.

If I could pick up a mint one now I would have no hesitation to run again.

Yes I binned it, yet is was scary, but I'd have another S2000!

Bet you're gutted with the current prices.
I really really fancy an S2000 personally.

In terms of previous cars, I'd have the 306 GTI6 or the EK9.

I keep looking, if I see one in Imola orange, around 2006 year with low mileage then I think I'd be tempted and then only use it in the summer. I'd keep the Teg though.

- E46 M3
- Evo 6 GSR
- 997 2S

The E46 M3 convirtable in SMG II basically gave you two cars in one. Was perfectly polite and great at being a boring daily, switch into sport mode and it comes alive.

I really do miss that car. Outright pace, evo takes some beating!

Nice colour, that's the colour of the one they had on Wheeler Dealers. I like the light blue one they do, would look nice with some dark wheels. I do keep looking at them, particularly the VGS ones the Japanese imports as supposedly the handling is a hell of a lot better. An all round better car. I'd like to try one certainly but going by posts on the S2000 thread, they're not reliable, use oil and are expensive to run, a lot more expensive than a DC5.

Yeah that's it, but that was the prefacelift which I'm not a fan of.

This was mine:

Lovely! What colour is that? You reckon the facelifts are a better car?

Cheers, she was absolutely mint.

Bermuda blue. I think the facelifts look better than pre, although apparently they don't handle as well due to Honda making them a bit softer. They are also DBW so you can get FlashPro for them whereas you need AEM or similar for the pre which costs more money. Only issue is around 98% of all facelifts are in the top tax category, I was paying around £500 per year.

In truth Chris I had nothing but problems with it.

IMS bearing went £12,000 bill, sheared driveshaft bolts which was another cost. It spent most of its life in specialists getting problems resolved.

On the odd occasion it was problem free, it was a joy to drive but not even close to the E46 M3.

See I drove the E46 M3 and I felt it was one of the most underwhelming cars I'd ever driven!

Also IMS is a pig till the 997.2 and even then they are not without their issues. Every day supercar for sure, but supercar running costs come with that as well.
