@ Modmedia . Hi If you get stuck for parts Ollydc5 has just broken his much loved dc5. Im pretty sure he has still got the 5.1 uprated box if you are going that route.

Where was it mapped and was there a recent map change in the last month or so? Did you change your oil recently to something different? Has only one Piston on the far side gone, could it have been oil starvation or were you not cornering?

Checked the injectors and spark plugs are all working?

My monies on that motor being buzzed in the past, with the rods stretched & weakened.

Failures like that dont just happen out of the blue.

Possible I guess! He needs to check injectors are all still firing right before the new motor gets hooked up. Guess he'll have a new oil pump etc with Ollys engine

I'd be buying new parts anyway. If I'd an engine failure that I coudn't determine the cause from, I'd be buying new oil pump, injectors, lines, the lot. I wouldn't chance it!

As Nickyyy will tell you (he was in the car at the time with me when it happened) there was no misshift it happened in second gear at crossover.
