I can't seem to find any threads about it, I have tried searching.

Does anybody know ALL the differences between the two?

Thanks. :)

As far as i am aware its the following -

~ Front and rear lights have lost the "tear drop" look and are now sleek.
~ Rear bumper has a pointless peice of black trim across it.
~ Interior now has white dials instead of silver ones.
~ Suspension is uprated and firmer.
~ Its slightly heavier.

There may be more but thats what i can remeber!

Immobiliser aswel facelift have prefacelift has not
Coupled with this, the speedo panel has a imobiliser key light.

few more (of many):
  • Aircon panel trim has a brushed silver finish
  • More rigid/solidly mounted front strut
  • Strut top panels are at different angles
  • Front dampers and springs are different as they mirror each other
  • Colour coded washer jets
  • Different front grill

well mostly cosmetic, the front suspension is supposed to be a little better, IMO they look pap compared to the pre all due to the lights.

Agree with Evo, the lights looks silly, and that black stripe accross the rear is stupid. Do like the white clocks though hehe.

Exactly this... ^

I was going to go for a facelift but I couldn't deal with that strip on the rear... Each to their own though.

For all the facelift owners:

Up to date front lights that are not 10 years old and fit into the modern honda range
Rear lights that glow in a ring (sort of) a la skyline
better out of the box - check best motoring comparison between old and new.
The dials on the pre look cheap and nasty like they got them from halfords.
I agree the black strip on the back bumper looks excremente but thats why a i have mugen lip kit covering that up.
gt5 has the facelift

How is is better out of the box? It's the same car bar a view cosmetic changes.

Up to date lights, doesn't mean better looking lights.

The springs are different too.

They are wound differently and I'm sure they have different rates. Might be wrong on that though.

I'm Sure the steering rack ratio
Is quicker too

There's something on the rear suspension too near the brake calipers. Looks like a small link/stabiliser. Not sure what that's about.
I agree on the black strip thing and also agree on the cheapness looking of the silver dials we have.
All in all they are both very good cars and are both excellent looking but each to there own. I think the pre facelift looks like a 'toycar'!! - chunky but soft, Love it though.

Definitely a difference in gear ratios as the FL accelerates faster marginally..

Hardly anyone keeps the OEM springs though, as the ride hide is awfuly high.........

Maybe we should email Honda and see if they know lol.
