Hi all,
Bit of a random question but I can‘t anything on Google about this so I though I‘d ask all you clever people.
When my car was imported it was fitted with a Cobra alarm when it got to the UK (because apparently the standard alarm isn‘t good enough or not recognised or something).
Anyway... it has the ugliest fob and immobiliser that have to be on my key and it really annoys me to look at it. I like to travel light and have the car key and my front door key. Not only that but it only uses one button, I.e the same bottom locks and unlocks the car, which is a bit crap if you‘re not sure if you‘ve locked it or not.
My questions are:
1. Is the standard alarm still not good enough or not recognised? If it‘s acceptable, I can chin the Cobra off and just use the standard key
2. Does anybody make an aftermarket system that can use the standard key?
First world problems eh?
Any help, as usual would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
