First remap k100 - anything I need to be aware of?

Hi guys,

Got myself booked in to remap my DC5 with k100. It already has intake and catback so know the gains won't be massive.

I'm just asking is there anything that I should be aware of as not had a remap before or questions would think I need to ask?

Chris

just be sure to use a tried and tested tuner dude, last thing you want is a bad map, wouldnt know anything about it untill its too late. alot of the lads on here have k100/pro on their cars normally dont hear of many issues unless its a big build any tuner worth their weight should be able to make an intake and exhaust quite easily

You say you won't notice a big difference, but a k100/Kpro is arguably one of the best mods you can do to the K20!

CPL is where I'm off to. From what i have read it's all about the midrange gains.

You might want to do a bit of research before you get it mapped by CPL.
I have looked at a few places. What is wrong with CPL?

Are all the main places who offer k100/kpro with a map; do they all do custom maps or do they just load generic stage maps?

they normally map the car on a k-pro, then upload that program onto your k100

That's good to know, especially as it costs what it does.

Does anyone know of anyone having any issues with CPL? With what u have seen they have mapped loads of Hondas. Are they not worth the risk?

Seen some bad reviews.. Usually it's the after service users have complained about.. Like when problems occurs, they call or message them and they don't get a reply.. Or they try and ignore it..

Depending where you are, alot of members go TDI North or Eurospec... These guys been around longer.. There's also a new place called FL Performance down in London, know at least 8-10 dc5s been mapped there

Cheers for the replies people will take a trip down eurospec today and have a chat.

No point in risking it. Don't mind paying more if needed for better service and aftercare if needed.

Usually it's around the same price.. For k100, its approx £650-£700 supply, fitted and mapped..

For Eurospec, the best person to speak to is Romain

Eurospec (Romain) mapped mine and I couldn't be happier with it, I would avoid having any other work done there through, just the map and you'll be golden :)

Romain doesn't actually work for Eurospec. He's a freelance, so goes all over the place. Your better off contacting him via facebook.

Me personally, i've had my DC5 mapped by FLPerformance.

I had a look on hondata site and there's only 3 main agents in the uk

Do the other places which aren't main agent get it from hondata direct?

Thanks, will be giving you a call in the new year to get the map sorted.

How long does it take to get the k100 installed and the remap?
