Finally have a bit of time to update this thread as some of you know ive had the cams fitted Sorry its taken soooo long but ive just been real busy due to work. Ive put some pictures up of the engine build all done by UNIT 8. Really happy and impressed with the amount of power available now and most importantly is how the car now drives compared to before. While it was in i also bought some other goodies with pictures to follow. Really need to thank Stevie and Mark for the amount of hard work put in,for making it happen, also Mark thanks for cleaning my engine and gearbox tooo while you had everything out =D>
The car now enjoys a healthy 272bhp and 174lbft of torque which is more than enough as its now a happy revvving bullit!!

Interesting results!... :wink: Who did the mapping?.. I guess I have to wait & see what mine does once the engine is run in.. I think I will get paul at tdi north to do the mapping!..

I know this has possibly been asked before but I'm just after a quick reply.

How much roughly would it cost to amass everything needed to go down the supercharged route + tuning and ECU etc, just a rough cost.

3k or could it be done for less reliably??

i'm no sc expert but I would have thought you will struggle to get this done for 3k, just kpro and mapping will be a grand gone out of your 3k budget
a second hand jrsc recently for sale here, the asking price was £2200

Thanks for your reply mate. I had a feeling it couldn't have realistically be done for 3k as it's expensive amassing all the parts then getting it tuned, getting KPRO etc it all adds up.

It's something I'm keen on doing but it wouldn't be for some time anyway.

I looked into this, is more like 5~6k doin it properly with all new bits
