Fitting issues Buddyclub Racing Spec Dampers and more...

Today I wanted to get the full suspension done, so I ordered Hardrace droplinks, Energy suspension master bushing kit, Hardrace camber arms and a set of second hand Buddyclub Racing Spec dampers.

What started as a relaxed day installing parts changed when I tried to get the rear wheel sensor loose. All of a sudden I had a lot of copper wires in my hands and the sensor was broken. Completely stuck and I had to open my trickbox to get the broken parts out of the hub.

Ok, I have taken my loss and I have to get a new sensor. But when I tried to fit my rear left coilover it didn't fit through the hole :xaiweb6:
Measured the damper and the top is 70mm and the opening in the shell is also 70mm only it doesn't look like a round hole, more oval.

What can I do now to fit the coilovers. Do I have to try to get the shape round again in the body. I really don't have a clue what has caused this, but it's really strange.

I hope somebody can help me, I am a bit stuck here :xhuh: ...

And I found the solution ;). Didn't knew the top mounts go on top from the inside :xaiweb5: .
Now it's all fixed, and now for the next challenge. I Had an extra bushing in the set and (as you can guess) a missing one which I need to finish the install on the rear :xdisguest: .
What's next

book your car into a professional garage who deal with DC5 or coil overs in general on a regular basis, as you may have fitted these wrongly.
no one knowingly makes a mistake ;) and fitting issues can not be rectified by phone or forum.

Thanks Paul!

As far as for specialist, no specialist here in the Netherlands who I really trust to do my work.
All they want is your money ;). When I bought the Integra I deceided to do all the work myself, and there is trial and error. But there isn't an issue that can't be solved, it only takes a wee more time to solve it. Now owning the Integra for 7 years and I manage to do all the service and upgrades myself.

For the coilovers, I did my research before installing. But while installing I found out there are 2 versions. The research that I did was on the wrong version. That was because I didn't knew there were 2 versions.
Version 1

My version

The pictures are not from my coilovers, but more to show the difference.

As for now, I only have to install the fronts together with the Buddyclub RCA and new PU bushings. Will do that tomorrow.
After that the geometry is done at a specialist to get the fast road setup.

The first version goes in from underneath the car in one piece and is after that fastened from the inside with the 2 nuts.
The second version needs the top cap removed before inserting it from underneath the car. When the coilover is through the hole you put the top cap on it and fasten it with the 2 nuts.
The only thing you need to double check is the preload of the spring after installing.
