please dont laugh but my other car is a pug 309 gti with a 1.9 16valve engine in it with carbs on--I have owned this car in one shape or form for 14 years and I love it to bits. The handling for me is fantastic, turn in nice and gently(all braking done always), balance the throttle and from then on adjust the car on the throttle to give either neutral handling or understeer (too much throttle) or a little lift for a smidge of oversteer. The car is laid up at the mo fully stripped with a cage in it, but your description of the teg reminds me a lot of how my 'old' pug handles...
This is the kind of thing I am looking for in a road car...having thought about it a little, it maybe nice to have a 'little' understeer, as this would give a bit of forewarning about the road conditions ahead and save any big rear end movements!!!
By the way I also rallied a MK2 GP2 escort many years ago that did not understeer at all with hand cut slicks on, but this is taking it to the extreme of front end grip. The escort was like a large go kart but its not fair to ask that of a road car I dont think.
love the sound of the integra though!!!
