How many mpg does a standard DC5 get driving carefully?

280-320 is quite good (considfering the performance of the car), if I'm right in thinking the fuel tank hold 50 litres?

I've had just over 300 miles to a full tank. Usually I get around 280 miles to a tank full and i'm happy with that. My GF's got a Saxo VTR and she gets the same mpg as I do out of her 1.6 engine :lol:

At least the DC5 figures are consistent and a lot of other performance cars mpg varies massively :shock:

How much to fill the tank??

worst ive had when i had my teg was 40mile to a tenner and 180 on a full tank lol

20-40 IME. You'll struggle to find something more economical with the same performance tbh.

An Elise does 45 mpg down the motorway. 40 mpg when combined with some backroads, and if you nail a tankful on backroads only you'll still get change from 30-35mpg. Trackdays, worst I've managed is maybe 22mpg and that was leathering it.



That said, I am v interested in DC5 consumption, as a potential buyer who is used to the 50mpg returned by our "other" car...a 150PS Golf Gti Tdi
