How often do you consider selling?

I had a e46 m3 2 cars ago,

Manual facelift carbon black and I loved it, full miltek so much rasp,

Running costs and maintenance are in another league As are general wear and tear costs and I wouldn't take it anywhere other then BMW or a specialist

Fast forward past the most boring car I've ever owned (a3 diesel) now I have a teg

and I wouldn't have the m3 back...... Even if it begged me

The Integra is a lot rawer and more engaging to drive, it doesn't even compare imo

I thought about selling mine about 4 years ago (owned it since 2007) and couldn't find anything else i liked to replace it with so turbocharged it and never looked back.

I do think about it still as i have a few other cars but still can't bring myself to do it. Such a rewarding car to drive and own. My fear is that i will regret it which is supported by so many people on here coming back to DC5 ownership after selling.

Safe to say i couldn't justify building one to the spec mines in again so i figure its best to keep it.

The dc5 is staying, all being well. Had a dc2 turbo for 4 years and it was great, but the dc5 beats it in almost every aspect. And I think the ek9 beats the dc2 for b road fun factor anyway. Regardless, if I could have a small selection of cars in a garage, the DC5 would be in it.

To echo most other comments, you would need to spend double to find something as engaging. And make no mistake, not many cars produced passed the 90's will be engaging, raw and fun due to electric and assisted everything these days. One of the last in an era of "cars never to be seen again".

Life's about experiences though, and its better to have loved and lost than to say "what if" when it comes to cars. I don't want anything else, I am happy, but if you're not or you have doubts, sell it, move on and scratch that itch. There will always another mint dc5 for sale. But at what price...

Couldn't agree more with this, if you have an itch, scratch it. put perfectly above

Haha I don't like to think that in a number of years down the line there won't be many real drivers cars around and will just be all the modern, smooth, driver assisted cars!

I went to the fd2 as well mainly for the 4 doors and newer interior..miss my dc5 but would not swap back for my old one, think in the past when I've had different cars it's always the high revs I missed and went back, plus not many other cars float my boat or keep the value the same

The dc5 is one car i havent taught about sellling at all , after 9 months
After 6 months with my dc2 i was taking a mental note of other nice cars, so was always half tempted.
Had my s15 for a 10 months, it was starting to bore me and lost intrest so my mind started wandering after 7 months.

Only a few cars id look at online to see are Rx7s ( Alot of hardship), R32/33 and Stis.
Having driving an EVO 7 Lately it has turned me off boring as fornicate 4wd cars so losing intrest in an Sti.
I reguarly Drive an RB25DET laurel and come to the conclusion Big turbo cars arent my thing, so Kind off 33s out the window.

The only car i think id like to change up to would be an FD2. Never even been in one but i know theyd be amazing

I always consider selling my DC5 eveytime i see a FD2. Untill the day where there was a good Deal and sufficient funds for a FD2, i will be sticking with my DC5 for now.

I don't get the fd2 craze. It may preform slightly better from the factory and is more practical with 5 doors. but I think the dc5 is a much better looking car, sportier at least. And half the price!

The first time I saw a dc5 was on the xbox - the first need for speed underground back in 2003. Always wanted to get one from then and finally went ahead last year. Certainly have no plans to sell now but I'd also have no idea what I'd replace it with.
Always thought about a scooby/evo but I've also heard they can be abit over rated & people come back to the Teg.

I have a DC5 and a Scooby and they are both very different. The DC5 is more raw and lively and the Scooby gives you that rush of speed and power. The Scooby is not so precise or gives as much feedback but has tonnes of grip. I am biased as I adore Scoobies but they are both equally as good, just different.

I can beat that, I think it was gran turismo 3 on ps2, 2001 when I became infatuated with them? Or around then.

Didn't now the teg was on underground and I loved that game!
