used to be, but all they were was an insurance broker and when i mentioned accord R and 23 in the same breath they laughed hence me defecting to Direct line :D there is a another very good one if you want to pay in one go, tend to knock 15% off for this but the name slips my mind, ill do some research and see if i can remember

Remembered the other company, Bell Direct. However it is only cheaper if you pay in one go on a credit card.

Tried online but only had the 1.8 listed, I went ahead as it went up to 2004 for date of manaufacture and the price was £1200 for a 10 month policy.

Gonzo - Thank you for bringing A-plan to my attention :D

I sold my Civic R back to the dealer this morning, as I pick up my DC5 Saturday morning, and rang Egg to advise them of the change of vehicle.

After 10 minutes on hold I get told "we can't cover you on the Integra until your 25"

I was insured with Egg on my Impreza STi Type R when I was 22 - to say I was annoyed is an understatement

Once I had calmed down, I remeberer reading this post so phoned A-Plan

Me: 24 year old, Architectural Technician
Dad: 55 year old, Retired
Driveway in rural Gloucestershire

DC5 with Mugen bonnet and full Spoon N1 - £789.50

i must be doing something wrong :xconfused:
the only folk who would insure me was a plan
have to wait till april for my 25th (wont insure me till then)
my quote was £1400 fully comp
own house, own buisness, car in garage, 3 years no claims, no points etc...

i could really be doing with a quote with that.

idrew, did you try the policy with just only you on the policy?

If so, what was the difference?

No, sorry

I just asked for what I needed, but having an older driver on the policy can make it cheaper ;)
