We have gone with A-Plan 1095 3yrs NCB (Caz 24 & me 26)

We were paying 1600 + mods (£200+)

Whereas the 1095 includes zorst & Strut !

Needless to say we paid Diamond £45 to leave early and saved a shit load of money :D

So good work fellas well chuffed

Sorry, feel as though I shouldn't have said anything now

When I spoke to them they said no claims doesn't really make a difference (I have 5) - it's mostly done on postcode.

I have no accidents, no convictions, but I do have a retired 55 y/o as a named driver. Not sure if that makes any difference :?:

I think this just proves that insurance is a complete lottery :?

Also got £1k with A-Plan (£1175 with Flux) for a standard DC5, 2002.

Thats male, 29yrs old, 10yrs NCB, no points/conv/claims and my wife as a named driver 25yrs old no points/conv/claims for 6k per annum.

Tesco couldnt quote me without the registration when i phoned them....do u use the DC2 stats from the website and pick 2001> for a DC5? :?

Perhaps we should go to them and negotiate a members discount?
There must be loads of us insured with them. (A-PLAN)

Looks like A-plan have come up trumps again!

Called yesterday for a quote and spoke to a really helpful guy.

The quote: 24 year old, 2NCB, parked on drive, no convictions but a claim for £11,000 2 and a half years ago (car stolen). £1400

I'm well pleased! I paid more than that this year for my CTR. Looks like I may be a DC5 driver soon.

Updated mine with my mods and I'm now paying just over £800

I'm happy with that.

Hopefully it'll go down come renewal time.

Incorrectly placed speed cameras permitting, that is
