Sorry to hear about your car.
My pfl artic blue was crashed into by an elderly lady at the end of November. She drove straight into the back of me whilst I was stationary waiting for trafficligts to change. My options were as follows which I'm putting here for you in case it's of any help.
As the other party had admitted liability I was given 3 options, car gets written off and receive full market value, keep the car and receive cash in lieu ~£2500 to repair and it's not written off, or car gets written off at market value and I keep the car minus the scrap value of the car. I took the last option so I've kept the car and they are paying out.
Hope you get things sorted with them one way or another.
If the other party has admitted liability it might be easier to deal direct with their insurance company, which is what I'm doing.

thanks for the advice, I think I might call my broker and his insurance and see what I can do, although I just heard back with the next offer, which was 4 something, and they said they found this link

that's absolutely shocking.. when you took the insurance out, you did make sure they wrote "Integra R" right?

i mean this example is a joke.. its not even a type s, how could they use it as a guide price..

there is obviously some clowns that run the claims admin team, i guess the underwrite team are aware of the car, but the claims team has no clue whatsoever.

as above, send them the 9k one above and say you want more around that price and explain about the type r etc!

Thats disgraceful. Its about time you kicked off abit to the underwriters themselves not the claims handling companies because they're useless.

Besides that in the link - Its mileage doesn't even correlate. How can even 104000 Kms be 43k miles haha. Hope you get things sorted sharpish mate.

What a Fu***ng joke... They seriously think that's the same as your car ?

Get them told to sign up on here and look in the for sale section then will see a decent representation of a DC5 for sale

ha ha ha, thats not funny but its hilarious that they had the nerve to scour the internet and find an auto integra shed and use that to compare to yours! its like having a focus rs written off and them sending you a link for a ford focus 1.6 climate auto lmao

So the latest thing worth writing about is that the lower price is due to the rear quarter panel damage on my car.......and guesses as to how the damage got there?!?!?!?!?

engineer said its unrelated to the crash, even though in their report it was on the list of damage that needs repair?!

is such a joke at how badly this is going?!

and they found a 2004 teg with 85k on for 6195?! the first one I've ever seen at such a low price. from drive line sports and performance.

think I'll be cancelling this claim and start fresh with markerstudy!

This sounds terrible! Hope you get it all sorted soon...

It's £6,195 as it looks in pretty poor condition, looks to have been in a accident with a badly resprayed front bumper/end, totally standard unmodified wrapped roof and spoiler? Keep fighting it to get what you want.

I'm not being funny at here at all cos I know exactly how frustrating it is. Currently going through an insurance repair myself. But numerous people said ages and ages ago to f**k these morons off who work for the claims companies and go straight back to the underwriter. Don't see why you haven't heeded the advice. The underwriter will be much more forceful with everything.

Good man. At least things should start moving now. Since I've been driving I've had two accidents (both not at fault) and both times the claims handling companies have been absolutely useless. Like honestly I don't get how they get jobs.

One was that stupid that. They asked me too send in some pictures over text message so they sent me a text to reply too with the pics which I did. And a week later I was doing my weekly chase up. And they were like well we haven't received pictures yet. I explained I had sent them a week ago via text. So they replied oh yes I can see that we've received them but Jpeg file format doesn't work so when we tried to open them they didn't work. I couldnt hold back. I'm usually calm but I just snapped saying how the hell can we proceed if you don't even make me aware that the documentation I sent across doesn't work and why the hell did you ask for them over text. Anyway back on track. They're drips and I hope you get a decent offer sooner than later. Don't give in until you get a figure that can actually replace your car like for like. Good luck.
