Knocking/Ticking from drivers side front

I have a similar noise, but I've put it down to either the engine rocking, or droplink / top mount / suspension related.

I got my bro to sit in the engine bay while i moved around to make the noise, he said it was coming from below the engine mount, so tonight i checked passenger drive shaft, doesnt seem to be any play over the normal amount, id say drivers side has more play and makes more noise, but i cannot move the joint with the force of the car, like when pulling off for instance....

Are ep3 driveshafts the same? I have a mate who breaks ep3s so could pinch a shaft off him to try if so

No ep3 shafts are shorter.

Are your struts tightened down also is the strut mount in good condition?
