IIRC the general consensus is that you'll be fine without a remap for intake and a cat back system, but anything more will require it.

They do vary. I had inlet and exhaust manis, full system, intake and was very lean high up.
The problem is, you have no way of measuring without the right kit, and you need to test under load.

People are saying it's a lot of money, for little gain. But with the price of let's say exhaust mani, system, and air filter. That's probably as much or more than a mapped K100.
How well are those mods running on a standard ecu map? Potentially £700+ for potentially no gain! Until it's dyno'd / mapped you have no idea what your money has gained you, other than noise.
