There is no problem, the difference is so little and it isn't a stressed part.
Honda typically do this just to make dampers non interchangeable between model.
Technically speaking, you can just drill the hole a little bigger to take the DC5 track rod end, but the issue is if you ever need replacement you will be in a world of pain.
I forgot the price I was told, but it was something like 4x more expensive and a 6 week wait for the DC5 track rod end.
DC5 isn't a UK car so Honda don't carry parts for it.
Another good point is if you ever think of selling your DC5, you can easily part the suspension back out as it will fit both DC5 and EP3.
Where if you had a DC5 specific coilovers, you are only limited to selling the suspension to DC5 owners.
