Mugen Air Filter

I've got one of the Mugen Air Filters on my car, and reading up about it, there meant to be a life long filter inside. Has anybody ever bought/or know where to buy one of the maintenance kits for them and are they worth it? I want to take it out and clean it up (as I don't want to be buying a new one) but not sure the best way of cleaning it. I've had a look on a few websites which link from the mugen site but not had any luck finding one.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks

Exactly what I used to service mine before I sold it, its all the same really, just try not to overdo the oil when you apply it, only needs a thin coat.

Thanks for the advice, how often would you guys recommend on doing it?
Once a year at most. Depends how much you use the car. But that's what I would do.
