Hi all, so I brought the LED WHITE W5W 501 SIDE LIGHT BULBS from ebay following form the original post and ones as expected started to flicker and die so wondering what bulbs you all have (links if possible) as bored of them going now lol.
Link to similar ones to what I brought before http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/T10-CAR-BULBS-LED-ERROR-FREE-CANBUS-13-SMD-XENON-WHITE-W5W-501-SIDE-LIGHT-BULB/282054061678?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&var=581000761629&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649

The normal 501's did not fit (this type for an example as the wedge bit was too short for the DC5 bulb holder/housing)
http://www.halfords.com/motoring/bulbs-blades-batteries/car-bulbs/halfords-501-w5w-car-bulbs-x-2?cm_mmc=Google+PLA-_-Bulbs,+Blades+and+Batteries-_-Car+Bulbs-_-181461&istCompanyId=b8708c57-7a02-4cf6-b2c0-dc36b54a327e&istItemId=lwmrla&istBid=tzwl&_$ja=tsid:94971|cid:865692955|agid:43902123815|tid:aud-297219197929:pla-328957932643|crid:202397318151|nw:g|rnd:11456177207775352044|dvc:c|adp:1o1|mt:|loc:9045133&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI0KzY3by71wIV5BbTCh1_awihEAQYASABEgIqWfD_BwE

So anyone got a link to some that actually work and last as I can't find any that are the correct (longer) fitment for the housing by a good brand. The Halfords ones are £15 a pair which is fine but I wonder how long they will last also ?
I currently use these, expensive for some sidelights compared to the £3 eBay ones but I love them. Had them since April and had no issues with them so far. They also have quite a few other 501's so worth having a look!

Also bought Philips 360 bulbs off them a while ago for my crz however haven't tried them out yet so can't comment! Going to put them on the dc5 rear plate light though I think

Cheers mate will have a look later, I don't mind spending on them if they will last but sick of them dieing randomly and flickering etc. Just removed one for now and will buy some, do these have a guarantee or warranty do you know? the Halfords ones are same price but have a 5yr guarantee (apparently) will check that :)

I know the feeling! I Use to buy eBay ones for my old civic and always had to replace them or they had a wee disco going on lol. I have no idea but I just checked and the site says they have one year warranty! Previously had mtec also, those were a tiny bit more downgraded version but those were also great, lasted afew years with no issues. Only replaced mines as one of the bulbs fell into the light housing lol

Let me know what you find you‘re happy with Carl as something I‘m meaning to change, but I‘m in no rush as the car is garaged over this winter

If you do buy these form ebay then one seller whose bulbs are to be avoided is as below with a link to them:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/272128087850?euid=4a05abebe5e542d2b9631d55e402f2aa&bu=43653389645&cp=1&sojTags=bu=bu
Seller - virtualexltd

These are what I put in my car and have lasted a few months and died, don't waste your money.

Have ordered there

http://www.halfords.com/motoring/bulbs-blades-batteries/car-bulbs/halfords-501-w5w-led-car-bulbs-x-2

5 year guarantee so lets see if they last and if not how good the guarantee is in reality :)

Hey guys,

Just bought a new set of headlights from Tegiwa (£336 with code, I felt it was a good price)

Was planning on swapping my main beam H1 bulbs over since I bought these just a few months back and I like them a lot: https://www.powerbulbs.com/product/philips-xtreme-vision-130-h1-twin (but in 5k version)

But since I'm still running OEM side lights and standard beam anyone have any recommendations to make the D2R go better with the H1? Currently the lights clash horribly lol!

To be honest I have done very little with bulbs before and all this conversion kit/bulbs not fitting stuff I'm hearing is leaving me a bit baffled! And when the new lights come, I wanna take the opportunity to get nicer bulbs instead of faffing getting the bumper off again later down the line.

edit: Can I just slap these in? https://www.hids4u.co.uk/D2R-Twenty20-Arc5-Upgrade-35W-Xenon-HID-Bulbs.html

Hi, instead of starting a new thread thought I'd post my question here.
I just bought some Osram cool blue intense 5000k xenon D2R bulbs.
They look pretty white at times and sometimes have a small hint of yellow too.
Problem is my sidelight bulbs are some cheapo Ring 6800k W5W LED's and when lights are one, they look much whiter and bit brighter than my Osram D2R almost making them look yellow in comparison.

Does any one know of any sidelight bulbs that will match the 5000k shade of my D2R?
Seem Osram and Philips both make 4000k and 6000k variants but neither make a 5000k :( just trying to eliminate the mis-match.

No idea if this will be good or not but could try;
