This slightly confuses me. Ownership it needs to have been fully insured?
I have owned my dc5 since 2011 was insured up to 2014 when k took it off the road and bought the micra as a daily driver whilst the integra is off the road?
From what I gather you think I owned a dc5 sold it bought a micra and then bought another dc5? .
Due to high claims ratio we have on the DC5 we normally ask that you have owned and insured the car for a year. If you havent in some cases the udnerwriters will quote if you have owned/insured and driven a similar performance vehicle for last 12 months they may be willing to quote. This is just our requirement and wont be the same for all other insurers.
So in your situation it wouldnt meet the criteria as the only vehicle you have insured for the last 12 months is the Micra so wont qualify.
**The underwriters are only interested in the last 12 months and wouldnt take into account anything beyond that, this restriction was only imposed as a result of the high number of claims we received on DC5 over the last 2yrs....Ratio wise the DC5 is 2nd highest claimed on vehicle we have ever insured**
