isn't it the bigger hole (tapered is at the bottom) NOT on the top of steering arm?
I said that because the bottom hole looks like bigger in diametre than the top one aye?

and look at the lower bracket holes, it looks like they are angled to a more negative camber (fronts)
just like mugen N1.

it is very possible the taper is up instead of down, this would allow the track rod end to fit from underneath thus helping with bumpsteer on a lowered car.
