That's something I'd like to try. Might do the oil now, see how it goes then that can be a project for the new garage. Where did you get the components you needed to do the repair?

Bearings and oil seals were fron Honda, the 5.1 final drive kit was from Tegiwa.

My oem final drive had eaten itself so I needed it either way. It was fairly straight forward but need feeler gauges when re-assembling. Also a dial gauge to measure the 'play' in the input shaft after assembly.

It's a big job without the tools really but I had most and done most things on my car so thought why not
