i just got my new mobo and ram, ASUS P5N32-E SLI NForce 6801 SLi mobo and Corsairs new #RAM with the crazy heat sinks on.

Put it in and oc my 2.4Ghz E6600 Core 2 Duo Straight to 3.0Ghz, enough of an OC and still perfect stable and cool at that speed. :)

Just need to get a new GPU now, gonna wait and see how ATI R600 performs when its released then decide from there.

just a quick question, what happends if you spring a leak?
The cooling liquid used is non conducting. In theory, you should be able to squirt it inside your PC and have no issues. Still don't fully trust water cooling myself.

it is indeed non conductive but its a bitch to clean off anything apart from metal. it eats through soft plastics...

never had a leak Touch Wood

Built this late last year, still playing games on it as and when I'm home :? , its amazing how much bling you can put in a machine lol, was just a bit of project so forgive if its OTT.

Take one full tower case :

Face the inside up with some black chrome sheeting 8)

One big but messy PSU :

Strip the cables and braid with carbon braiding and heat wrapped ends

One boring LAING water pump

add a little bling

=

Mount some UV tubes (good for showing any leaks from the fluid xp honest ;) ), also mounted some red LED's behind the mother-board

Also I drilled the case so all the nice cables are hidden behind the mother-board

Add a few nice blingy DangerDen Water blocks and triple radiator, and some big Tygon hose.

Add a shroud and 3x120mm red LED fans to the rad:

Put it all together with a motherboard, CPU, plenty of flashing ram and a couple of graphics cards

Only showing one GPU in above pic at the time it was taken. As one was DOA and i could'nt wait to get her running

Nice. I got watercooling coming on Saturday. Need a UV light for the same reason as you!
Its a nice to have if nothing else ;), thoug you can poor fluid XP into the back of a TV when its on and nothing will happen. It will corrode if it leaks over time though. So better to be safe :)

Building my new one this weekend:

  • [*:3fx9f0nv]Intel Q9300 with Freezer 7 Pro (gonna overclock this beauty, 45nm should show great results!)
[*:3fx9f0nv]GeForce 9600GT (good enough for me, I don't play any games on it!)
    [*:3fx9f0nv]4Gb DDR2 800Mhz
    [*:3fx9f0nv]Samsung 226 22" TFT + Acer 17" TFT
    [*:3fx9f0nv]2x Samsung 500Gb 16Mb drives in RAID0
[*:3fx9f0nv]MSI P35 Platinum mobo (nice copper cooling pipes!)

Sticking to XP Pro cos I want to be able to use all my old stuff and apparently it's more responsive anyway (but of course my lovely 4Gb RAM will be more like 3Gb... :( )

I just got a new rig :D

Mac Pro
Two 2.8GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon processors (8-core)
12MB L2 cache per processor
1600MHz, 64-bit dual independent frontside buses
2GB 800MHz DDR2 ECC fully buffered DIMM
NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT with 512MB of GDDR4 memory
320GB Serial ATA (3Gb/s); 7200 rpm; 8MB cache
1x Dell 20" tft
1x Samsung 20" tft

Hopefully getting 2GB more of ram to make it to 4GB but this FB stuff isn't cheap
