Pulling while accelerating/ decelerating

I have an annoying problem with my new dc5, when accelerating gently it pulls to the right, then if i lift off it pulls to the left, i have engine mount inserts. Today is the first day driving it when its not been chucking it down! Any common issues with this type of problem? I have searched the problem to no avail.

It could be as simple as geometry out of spec.
The amount of times I have has mine set, then I mess with something (take a coilover off/ replace clutch etc) it goes out of spec and I get the drifting symtpoms too.
I think they tend to pull towards the side with more or less camber. Front toe mismatch with usually self centre, but anything rear related can't self centre so a full check is ideal.

Ok thanks pal, just checked the tyre pressures all bang on! It has had eibach springs fitted and i don't have any evidence of the tracking being done.

also it has matching front tyres (Although cheapo atr sport brand, scary in the wet!) It has one Bridgestone on the rear left and another atr sport rear right.

As Luke said, your car probably needs a decent geometry setup with adjustable rear camber arms and front adjustable camber bolts.

Mine is going in on the 10th to Grinspeed as he did it last time and he's very good but there are plenty of specialists that can do it such as TGM, Area Motorsport and loads of other places.

If you don't already have the above parts fitted then you're looking around £300 all in including the cost of the geometry setup which is normally £100 at most places.

Worth doing as these cars can be quite awkward to drive and get right.

Already have adjustable upper rear arms and camber bolts, and a place local that can do the work. Does anyone have the geometry settings for a fast road setup?

Could be tyre related. When I bought mine it had been stood for about a year. The car suffered from terrible bump steer and would pull left and right over uneven ground. Fitted new tyres and the problem disappeared instantly. Geo was never altered as it didn't seem necessary.

I had exactly the same issue.. ended up being 2mm of tread difference causing the issue.. i had gone and had all my bushes replaced suspension changed etc and it was because i had 2 7mm tyres and 2 5mm tyres mismatched on each axel. Swapped them to be the same on each axel and the issue went

I had the same problem after having new front tyres fitted and the geo done.

Geo was perfect, turned out to be a tyre defect....radial tyre pull.

Swapped the tyres across the axle on the front and it pulled the other way. Binned Hankook tyres and bought a pair of PS4s...sorted it.

I am going in for a geo setup in the next few weeks so i will report back on the results! I have a sneaky suspicion that the eibach springs have been fitted without having an alignment done!
Going for -1.8 camber front, 0 toe front, -1 camber rear with 2mm toe in.

I had my geo setup, and the handling is so much better (might be due to the fact it had positive camber on the front right wheel!) But with eibach camber bolts he could only go 20mins neg on one side, and half a degree on the other!? That's the max he could go with the bolts? So he evened them out to -20 mins both. My question is what would cause this minimal amount of neg camber in the front on max adjustment? I would have thought they run more than that standard?
I have looked at the tca arms and no sign of accident damage?
How could i get more camber without going coil overs, he did mention slotting the mounting holes but i don't like that idea!

Hey guys, I'm back for another moan haha!

As most of you know, I am not happy with how my car feels. I had the same issues with the old Blue one. Before I go any further, mods are as follows

RE070 tyres (Still got good tread but did take a hammering on a recent trackday which may be impacting things possibly)
Spoon springs
OEM dampers
Hardrace adjustable arms and front bolts
Setup by Grinspeed a few months back
Fully Super Pro bushed

Basicaly the car pulls all over the shop, even pootling around and it's really starting to irritate me now.

It feels in a way like the contact between the tyre and surface of the road isn't quite there, it pulls towards cuts in the road and tramlines everywhere.

I'm thinking of trying another Honda specialist next time re the setup as I'm thinking perhaps it needs the Geo doing again, or could it be the tyres need ditching as they don't feel as though it's gripping? I really don't know anymore and I'm at a total loss if truth be told and pretty fed up with it.

Any suggestions?

It's just the LSD isn't it? All cars I've driven with an LSD pull about on uneven roads

I dunno mate, I may have a more aggressive diff perhaps? I've never stripped the box but it pulls all over the place far worse than the Blue one did and that wasn't great. It's really getting on my t*ts now.

I've got some Mugen Showas lined up off a forum member so this may help as I just don't think the OEM dampers are sufficient for me and the way I drive or how the car feels.

Whats your alignment settings?
I had a bit of toe out on the front before and it was horrible, couldnt keep the car straight.

I don't know mate sorry. Stevie does it all via a weight and string method so you don't get an official print out as such, so I've no idea what the settings are. :(
