Ferarri F40..... Bugatti Veyron. Which would you choose?

The Veyron is an ill-conceived abomination (the mcLaren F1 was immaculately conceived and will still be the greatest car of all time - 240mph with 621bhp). The F40 is a stroke of genius - acheiving 201mph in the 1980s with a "mere" 478bhp. Cars today seem to need a lot more because of bulk/safety regulations.

Drive an F40 and people think you're wealthy and know something about cars. Drive a Veyron and people think you're very wealthy and have a short one.

Some very good points raised here.

And I do understand... technology moves on and gets better making cars faster however the weight increases with ever more safety standards.

Also with the market being the way it is... think back to the Nissan Pulsar, that sort of machine will most likly NEVER be made again.

Mitsubishi were going to do a Colt Evo with 4WD. They didn't. It would have to cost less than an Evo to make it viable, but it would most likly have the same engine and similar performance. Hence it was scrapped.
