Mick,
Thanks for the encouragement, Its like you bake the perfect cake,,,,every ingredient has been measured right, Its a done deal,,,its in the oven and its starting to rise,,, then the F****in electric goes off and it flops....! Do you feel good that you were not to blame for the failure ?? or do you feel gutted that you didnt have a back up oven at the right temp. "just in case" ?

Its a Bummer alright, but thats racing,,,we will bounce back and have our day mate, and prove that Honda is a force to be recconed with.!

Paul,

snapped being another term for broke?

2 reasons behind it mate

firstly, if it was indeed a fuse, in my experience they dont tend to just go for no reason, so what broke causing the fuse fuse to blow?

secondly, my experience (and that of others in the past) of the actual build quality of buddyclub stuff leaves me to wonder whether it was another case of bc stuff not being up to the job for any length of time?

Actually mike it was the fuse cap that came detatched from the 40a main fuse.We think that vibration did it.

Actually I think your sarcastic comments are a bit sharp if you dont mind me saying, Also it makes you look a little childish to presume as such .We are on a forum, not in a school yard. If you want to know more in depth answers then just ask ??? [-X

sarcastic comments? merely stating from experience and asking for more info as to the reason behind the failure........

take it however you want, i agree we are on a forum not school yard, so stop behaving like a bairn.......

looking at the signatures above i can see there is politics at work here that i'm not aware of :?
i would have presumed members on a DC5 forum would have enjoyed seeing a DC5 do so well in UK time attack & be gutted to see the car fail at the last hurdle for something as stupid as a fuse cap but these things do happen, instead it seems to have been turned into a sniping opportunity :xconfused:

i'm more than happy with my Buddy Club bits, haven't heard of any major problems with their parts, build quality and gains are good, and I love the Time Attack cars, been saying I'd get to one of the races but haven't got to do it so far.

no politics here, I've never met or had any dealings with Paul and I do wish him well in time attack

What I disagree with is the constant barraging of buddyclub products in most posts as if forcing them on newer members without giving them chance to properly research their mods, I've not used current bc products and hopefully their quality has improved recently as you seem to suggest, however Ill not be taking that risk when sourcing future mods for my current Teg

rant over..........

this isnt a thread to discuss my feelings towards buddyclub, but a thread listing the most powerful na cars on here.

maybe set a relevant thread up for the events during time attack and any failures and the causes or any success and the well wishing

anyway, the best bits start with DD anyway.

Paul, are you not tempted to move to a different race series and take on others? Or do you see the TA as your main target area?

Mike, I dont know you,,,or what your agenda is,,,first you say above that "you are stating from experience" then directly below you say "I've not used current bc products".

Please lets put a line under this little protest :)

And take that childish signature off, your making youself look like a very sharp instrument.

Best wishes,
Paul,

i think what Mikes trying to say is that for the older members on here, there used to be a lot of problems reported with BC stuff with items breaking all the time and not being covered by warrenty due to race spec being used on the road. I think this was before your time as being the main BC distributor unless you was the main one before you brought the car over?

Also theres other reputable garages out there churning out decent DC5's whether race or street that arent pushing one make products, yet are able to win championships with less horse power.

We understand that its your job to market your products tho but sometimes it can be a bit too much ;)

Dear Kingston,

If products are bought from us (or an official dealer)as a road product then they carry a warranty, if ANYONE returns a road product within 12 months with their original invoice then there is a procedure which enables the possible replacement or repair,(excluding the obvious ,someones run in the back of me and my exhaust has failed).

If products are bought from a CHEEPER grey import source outside or within UK then they DO NOT HAVE a warranty,(unless the seller offers one of his own). You will have to send the product back to your seller.

There was a VTEC company selling Grey imported BC stuff a year or two ago, but we put a stop to that at source via their aftermarket supplier in Japan because they gave the product a bad name.We had loads of bad press because he didnt care about after sales service, made people wait 3 months when we had it on the shelf, then blamed us for the delay, and also sold things to people that they couldnt fit, because they had NO technical advice or it was a fitting for the wrong continent.(exhausts and cams are different for each continent).

We DO NOT have that problem now, If you are in any doubt, or the price seems too cheep ,then every buyer should check with us that the seller is a registered UK agent.(the too good to be true rule applies).

We are here to help people with Hondas, not screw you over pretending to be your mate......Im 45 Years old with a warehouse the size of a fooball pitch, ,not 18 years old trading from my bedroom.!!! we have put a stop to that style of trading, Actually by order of the Bosses in Japan.

Anyone with a problem should come to ME, if they chose not to then they must have a sinister reason, but i dont expect to be blamed for their attempted cunning decisions.

Paul,
P.S. if anyone wants private advice then PM me, if you ask a question or make a statement on open forum ,you WILL get a true answer. :)

thread gone off on a tangent again......

But i will say that anyone that knows Paul would not question his honesty or integrity.

constant plugging is to be expected when you allow

on several occasions Paul has invited forum members to visit him on raceday, he is the first one to answer a question posted or offer advice.
The reason that the answer is always "Buddy Club" is probably because that is the only thing he can offer a Qualified opinion on as thats what he works with everyday & what he races with....

back to "most powerfull na car on here"

Gents,
All of our authorised traders have the same opertunity to plug on the forum. Some choose not to take that oppertunity some do.

IF we as mods feel that any of the traders are out of line we will reprimand them (Paul will vouch for the many posts he has had deleted because we felt he had overpromoted BC or overstepped the mark with his comments towards a competitor etc).

We want this to be a fun place with easy going helpful members who enjoy their cars and generally it is, but there is always the chance that someone will take exception to what someone else writes. Sadly this cannot be avoided and while we try to moderate some of this (especially when its blatent) we can't do everything, we expect you as adults to act like them.

If you have a particular problem with a product then by all means air your views BUT at least give the manufactures the chance to defend Themselves or sort the problem, just saying a product is crap is easy but to present some decent evidence as to why it is, is quite something else.

PLEASE TRY TO STICK TO THE TOPIC.
