Forgot to tell you lot,

We are testing ITBs at the moment and we will be showcasing a new engine format at Oulton Park on 25th of April,

Still half way through the build so its last minute dot com. as usual, Will post the BHP as soon as its mapped. but its PTW ratio we are aiming at ,with 900kg. (1050 last year).

I hope some of you local lads will come to say Hello and scrounge a coffee in the pit garage... :D . Dont forget the screams if we are lucky enough to ge on the podium.... \:D/

We take the bumper off because it wont fit on the trailer or the dyno with it on,,

The WINGS we leave on all the time because we flippin nead them 8) 8)

Have you got any idea roughly how much extra bhp you would gain by taking the bumper off on a dyno Paul? I'm just thinking where your filter's located behind the bumper and then by removing the bumper then there would be more air drawn into the engine :?

As the filter is behind the brake duct vent I doubt taking the bumper off would make that much more power if any due to it probably being difficult to replicate with a fan at the dyno the force of the air entering the intake as it would do going fast on a track/road. Just my intial thought on your question...............

A full race 2.3 engine like ours will set you back 8-10k with all the frilly ancilliary parts that you need to make it tick .

Then you can whoop the assets of those 700bhp turbo barges.and casually wave ti them as you screeeeeem by. :twisted:

we are doing TA tomorrow, we tested today at Oulton and beat our last years best 2.3 (275bhp) time by 2.5 seconds posting a blistering 1 min 37 dead.... Smooooookin.!!

Hi Mate,

It wont make any BHP difference on the dyno, but it may make a difference on the road and track, where the air flow is higher,
Next time your at the dyno put your face in front of the fan, then stick your head out of the window on the way home at 70mph,You will then have the answer ?? :)

Thats a real Downer,..

We were quickest all day in every NA class, even beating the 6R4 and the 968 Cup car.
We posted a 1:37 at one point,Beating our own last years time of 1:39 and were lying 2nd in the whole Club Class including Turbos, but Alas,,,,in the final a fuse blew on the first lap and they wouldnt tow me in as the marshalls said the car was parked in a safe place..... :cry: :cry: :cry:

Thats racing folks,,,just ask a F1 driver,,it happens to them also.??

That behind us we are looking forward to the jumps at KnockHill.
