From what I gather

The purpose of the spring is to effectively increase resistance in the changing gear action thus making it feel more positive and less sloppy.

The Pivot ball upgrade is to eliminate slop in the mechanism.

No issues with reverse, it's a bit more effort to push across but you soon get used to it

Postage shouldn't be an issue, maybe a couple extra quid. I think for the order the numbers and more than covered, but if the feedback is good another larger order will made and i'd be looking at diversifying out to other clubs, CTRO, Atom owners, Dutch DC5 etc.
